Designation / Role : Database Designer

Location : Gurgaon, Haryana, India

Responsibilities

• Understand application requirements and how they translate to database design (Schemas, partitions, clusters, indexes etc.) using modelling techniques
• Familiar with ER Diagrams and Normalization
• Collaborate with Engineering team and Technical Architect(s) to set database specifications
• Design and implement highly scalable, low latency databases
• Identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks with data design
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
• Maintain confidentiality with regards to the information processed, stored or accessed

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data modelling and database design for enterprise grade applications
• 5+ years of experience with implementing highly scalable and low latency SQL databases
• 5+ years of experience with MySQL, SQL Server database engines
• 2+ experience in working with Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure
• 2+ years of Scrum or SAFe experience
• Preferred experience in NoSQL databases and ETL tools
• In-depth understanding of tiered architecture systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate complex subject matter- both verbally and written
• Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks with efficiency and accuracy
